The Lum and Abner Show starring Norris Goff was Abner Peabody, and Chester Lauck was Lum Edwards. Both are the owners and operators of Pine Ridge’s own Jot ’em Down Store. The show aired from 1931 until 1954. The show was modeled on life in the small town of Waters, Arkansas. They are constantly stumbling upon moneymaking ideas, but fall short everytime.
